1. Festival de las Calaveras

Attend the Festival de las Calaveras at the Union Depot! This celebrates the Latin arts community through live music, dance performance, puppet theater, visual arts exhibition, multimedia animation, spoken word, and family art-making activities. Oct. 21

2. Grand Slam Field Trip

Spend the MEA holiday at a fun field trip. The day starts out with games at Harmon Park, then head to the Works Science Museum for hands-on engineering fun. Then, end the day at Grand Slam with mini golf, laser tag, batting cages, and more! Oct. 19

3. Bats and Bugs

Explore how bats and lightning bugs navigate and communicate after dark. Discover how humans benefit from their presence and how we can return the favor. Presented by Dakota County Parks. Geared for ages 8 and older. Registration required. Oct. 21

4. Cookin' at Children's Theatre Company

Check out Cookin' at the CTC! This energetic production about a cooking competition combines food prep and cooking with martial arts.  Various Show Times All Weekend

4.  Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress

Children's Theatre Company's newest production starts this week. In this show - which is aimed at ages 4 and up - Morris travels the galaxy to find answers to key questions, including if astronauts wear dresses.  Various Show Times All Weekend
