With the new school year comes new opportunities to explore nature and all her scientific wonders! Visit the prairie and marvel at the diversity of plant and animal life it supports. Model fire activity in different forest types and learn why fire suppression might not be the answer to managing a healthy forest ecosystem. Try your hand at applied physics by giving archery a shot. Visit Dodge’s program animals to learn about reptile and amphibian biology. Celebrate spooky season by learning owl about one of the most iconic groups of nocturnal animals. Make new friends, find new interests, and enjoy some time outside in this fantastic fall series!
Girls, female-identifying, and non-binary youth in grades 5-8 are welcome to participate. This is an after-school program that meets once a week for five weeks.
Scholarships are available for those who qualify.
